Living in the UK and Trying to Conceive?

NICE has updated the guidelines for fertility treatment funding on NHS. Are you aware of what is being updated?

The most important updates are:

-Allowing for IVF after only 2 years of trying to conceive naturally (previously 3).

-Extending the age limit for IVF treatment from 39 to 42.

-Allowing same-sex couples to be eligible.

-Allowing those with physical disabilities that make natural conception hard to be eligible.

-Referring out for treatment immediately when a problem has been identified rather than waiting the three years.

You can access all updates on the NICE website through this link: http://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/index.jsp?action=byID&o=14078
